Chevy has clearly been veeery busy lately and they've even come up with a little teaser video on Youtube to keep us sitting at the edge salivating for more.
The deal is that they've taken a stock Camaro... tricked it out and painted it black! Specs have been kept very low key, but this years SEMA show is definitely gonna be a big "Ooooh Aaaah" session!

ChrisM from iMod has started a small campaign on Muti to raise funds for the Blogger Bake Off, which aims to raise $1million towards food for the Africa's hungry communities!
I think that it is a brilliant cause and ChrisM's plan is to donate R200 for 100 votes on Muti. He was quickly joined by Thakadu , Sue, Charl and Wogan who have each matched his pledge. Follow them on Twitter at @christopherm, @muti, @cow_grrrl, @zoopedup and @woganmay respectively!

Tonight, at 7:30pm, during a national address the South African President, Thabo Mbeki has resigned.
This comes on the back of the ANC MEC's request for him to step down as leader of the nation.
Admittedly, he was not a very responsive leader and he did fail to make critical decisions in time, however, we as a nation should not forget the good that he has brought to our nation.
South Africa has come a very long way from our Apartheid era. We are not the most perfect nation and we are not the safest country to live in. But comparatively, our nation has made significant progress under the leadership of Thabo Mbeki.
I have a lot of respect for him for the good that he has brought us, though, hypocritically, I too have been eager to criticize him in his moments of weakness.
I really hope that we remember him for the good that he has brought us! Thank you Thabs, what you just did, must have been REALLY hard for you!
It is with great regret (to me) that the formality of handing over our nation to Jacob Zuma, has started!

A carbon footprint is the measurement of the amount of carbon that you emit into the atmosphere per year. This comes from the use of your car, electricity, the kind of products that you buy, etc.
By knowing your carbon footprint, you will become aware and you can help reduce carbon emissions, hence save the planet a little bit!
We need to stop blaming governments, the war in Iraq, huge industries etc and start blaming ourselves!
We have damaged our environment and we have all contributed to global warming, so its up to us to make a stand. I'm not going to go through the whole global warming schpeel with you, honestly, if you don't know about it yet, then PLEASE come out of your bubble!
This is an appeal to all blogger and blog readers to please help generate awareness and also help contribute to society by individually making subtle changes to your lives.
Simple changes to our lives that can make a huge difference overall can include:
- Turning off unnecessary lights.
- Unplugging any electrical device that is not in use, this includes your cellphone chargers, etc.
- Starting a car pool, this will reduce traffic as well ;).
- Watering your lawn when the sun is not at its peak.
- Planting a tree or two.
- Using CO2 friendly products, check the labels when you buys items, the 1 second glance that it will cost you WILL make a difference.
It's true, heroes drive Audi's. Close your eyes for a second and think back about all the action movies that you have seen lately. Now tell me what stands out the most?

- and the latest is Iron Man.
I-Robot would have simply been another action movie without the Audi RSQ, Hitman without the Audi S5 would have been Wimpman and Iron Man without the Audi R8 would have been called Jelly Man. Dammit, even Starsky and Hutch drove an Audi 100!
Many of you will argue that BMW and Aston Martin in the Bond films is probably bigger and fair enough. Aston Martin does deserve mention here. BMW, however, doesn't deserve recognition. In fact, the only reason that BMW was favoured by the MI6 was because Aston Martin held the license to supply cars for the movies, and BMW had just bought Aston. It was decided that the image of BMW needed the lift and with a complete disregard to tradition, the idiots at Ingolstadt gave Bond a BMW instead.Thank heavens that things have sorted themselves out and Bond rolls in an Aston Martin again!

Microsoft made the offer to purchase a few months back and was met with negativity from Yahoo!. Microsoft has since stated on the record that they would pursue hostile methods to acquire Yahoo! if no agreement is reached by the 26th April 2008. That date just passed us and Yahoo! is still shying away from a deal of the giants.
Does this now mean that Microsoft will in fact get its hands dirty by pursuing a a hostile take-over? Options currently include increasing the $31 per share offer, decreasing the offer based on the 1st Quarter results from Yahoo!, going hostile or dropping the matter all together!
Yahoo! has launched a test that runs Google Ads along side its search engine results. Does this mean that Google will pay for Yahoo! to stay afloat?
Since the announcement, Yahoo! products division has been in hyper-drive rolling out new features and products in the hope to further cement its notion that Yahoo! is worth three times what Microsoft has offered. They have launched video playback on Flikr, launched its mobile based social network called OneConnect and has relaunched its social news video site called Yahoo! Buzz.
This is definitely going to be exciting to follow, as Microsoft will once again come out the bad guy in this and Google will play the hero to Yahoo! once again establishing the good guy image that Google so proudly boasts.
Just in from watching Rogue Assassin with Jet Li and Jason Statham. The movie is known as War in other countries.
It's the typical action-packed movie you'd come to expect from these two actors. Jason brings the same arrogance and violence from Transporter and Italian Job into his role here playing a FBI agent and Jet, well, what else would you expect? He plays a hired assassin and gets involved in the Chinese Triads and the Japanese Yakuza.
The movie has REALLY cool cars, with Jet driving a Spyker C8 Spyder throughout the film and Statham sporting a Mustang. There are shots of a few Lambos, Ferraris and Maseratis. The movie has a pretty cool car chase with the two of them going head to head in a decent battle. One would naturally assume the the Italian has the advantage, but the brutal muscle of the Yank gives it a run for its money in the traffic filled streets.
Lots of swords, pistols, snipers and automatic machine guns.
The movie is definitely nothing new, but it does have a fairly cool twist at the end. The action sequences are very well choreographed, and I am almost certain that John Wu himself couldn't have done it better.
Definitely worth a watch if you like it rough!
There are few four wheeled vehicles in this world that have an acceleration that is so fast that you could find yourself with a case of whiplash if you get your launch right and it's very clear that the Caterham R500 is one of them!

Yesterday saw the final leg of the 5fm sponsored concert through SA. Hosted at the Good Hope Centre in town, which i should state is a bit of a washed up venue lately. I really don't understand why the organisers went with the new industry standard of having it at the Bellville Velodrome.
It was disappointingly attended, but then again Hip Hop never gets the support from Capetonians as it should.
The show was cool. Definitely nothing "WOW!".
Ready D, the local Hip Hop god tore up the decks with a 45 minutes set that was absolutely unbelievable. He is without a doubt the best Hip Hop DJ in SA and is currently ranked in the top 20 best Hip Hop DJ's in the world. Y'day saw him play out his best set yet, in my opinion. Better known as the guy who played for "Prophets of the City" and the pioneer behind "Brassie Van Die Kaap", he has played next to giants like the Fuggees, Ja rule, Ice-T, Public Enemy and even featured as the regular resident DJ for the Phat Joe show on SABC a few years back! I really wish him luck and I can only imagine how hard it was for him to break through the scene and set himself up as being SA's Hip Hop god!
Grant and Anele made an appearance next to Poppy all from 5fm. For the record I would like to say that G & A are the most annoying wannabees in the history of the great station. It is really sad to see 5fm slip into hiring such sad DJs. The next few local acts are not even worth mentioning, but I think its fit to say I really miss Red Angel! R.I.P Angel! The Hip Hop scene greatly misses you bud!
Black Violin was the first of the 3 international sets. These guys were downright brilliant!!!
They are Hip Hop violinists! I have never heard anything like it before! They whack out tracks by TI and DJ Khaled on a set of violins, so imagine! They also stand as a huge inspiration to black kids who see classical music as a looser thing! I think Black Violin really made their point when they played out a piece written by Chekovsky (I think thats how you spell it).
Fat Joe and the Terror Squad took to the stage. In true CRACK fashion, he was accompanied by loud gunshots as he walked out. He did most of his famous tracks, including Whats love?, Lean Back, New York and also did a Big Pun, B.I.G. and Tupac dedication!
Joe was honestly a disappointing act. I'm a huge fan of his, but I think he made it clear that he is a studio artist and not a performing artist. And Joe, how the hell can you can you come out in public without a cap man? What's wrong with you?
Akon on the other hand was a great set. He is a true performer and a crowd pleaser. Besides ordering security to remove the divide between Golden Circle and the rest, he spent a lot of his time in the audience. He sang most of his latest hits and did a good job with them too. What I thought was funny though, was when Mr Senegal decided to crowd surf and someone stole his shoe :). C'mon man, this is SA, what did you expect?
All in all a good show! Besides the venue selection, the organisation was good and it was really good to see these industry giants in SA!
The Terror Squad Boys have an album launch later this year, so look out for that and I truly recommend picking up Black Violin's album!
Up next is 50 and the G Unit crew in May 2008!!!
